In my continuing search for something to help breathe life into the ADF Scholar's Guild (and hopefully even ADF generally) I've come across a number of "Social Networking" or "Online Collaboration" sites.

Just came across Sakai and am going to take a look at it. Might just fill the bill:

p.s. using LJ's new link bookmarklet. Keeno!

I'm not, but thanks for the link!

I'm looking for something to help Scholars (and maybe all ADF Study/DP "students")

1) interact and communicate - lists are ok but having history is very useful
2) post articles/assignments and track them
3) allow for some distance learning and maybe (eventually) testing for some requirements
4) book database and review tracking (expanding on D.R.U.I.D.)

I was thinking I would have to write something, but it looks like some educators have already come up with some of these ideas so I can "stand on the shoulder's of giants."

Ya, Moodle is up next. I already do LibraryThing (but it's too wide open for what I envision.)

Hmmm... very interesting. Certainly helpful for solitaries, but I'd be more interested in the Server when it's out.

Frankly, citations are very useful, but that might be a bit beyond where we're at right now. Just tracking "coursework" and the book database would give us a huge leg up.

But thanks for the link! I will d/l and try it out!
